Now she was here, Barbara was a little less worried about whatever this boy thought of her, he didn't seem all that interested in company, despite his sort of annoyance that she hadn't simply followed after him - and she certainly didn't need his company either. She would be more than happy to explore this place on her own. It looked cheerful and bright, and interesting as well. They were bound to find some interesting things here.
And for the time being there didn't seem to be any dinosaurs - always her initial worry after her first trip through the doors.
Barbara rolled her eyes when he seemed to be intent on not understanding that they were stuck there, and no amount of asking these people anything was going to get him back to his world. But he was young, she supposed that was just how it went some times.
While he stalked off and right into a store, Barbara took her time about it, instead exploring the street a little bit more, getting a feel for the place, tipping her head back and feeling the warmth of the sun on her face and then after another couple of moments went into the shop as well. While she hadn't decided that she definitely was exploring the city with him, she didn't feel in a hurry to rush off any do something totally on her own just yet either.
"This looks a lot like places back home." Well not her home obviously, but the rest of the world was not Gotham and it looked at least a little familiar. What was not familiar though was the little.... well she didn't know what it was, some sort of animal, walking beside a young girl while she made her way up and down the aisles. Huh. Well that was definitely something.
"I think maybe," She said rather than pointing out the little animal, "That you should prepare yourself to be let down here, even if they have the sort of thing that can get you off this rock," as he'd put it, "This isn't the universe you're from. You'll just go out there and into nothing - or whatever is up there in this place." And well that was a possibility that was a little more frightening than Barbara really wanted to examine carefully. No she might want to get home, but being lost in a place like this, that was decidedly not where she was from and without the aid of the doors was not a possibility she wanted to deal with.
