Klaus wasn't sure whether or not he and Ben would have done anything if things had been different, but as it was they'd been tied together for years now and whatever they might have done if things were different was a moot point. Ben was a part of him now, even here where he could be seen and interact with others and trying to separate that out and imagine some other possible life felt impossible. Even though the reality was that it could happen now.
Though he leaned just a little in Bill's direction, enjoying that easy pressure of fingers and the way he touched despite the sort of conversation they were having, Klaus was turned toward Ben. So when Ben agreed that he was tired of just watching, Klaus met his gaze easily.
"It's about time Ben got to do something a little bit more than watch," Klaus agreed, "All those years tagging along after me, I'm sure you've seen a few things you're interested in."
