Ben wasn't as sold on it's magic as Klaus seemed to be -- but to be fair, he also could do a pretty neat trick where he could make things appear out of seemingly nowhere too, and it wasn't nearly as nice as flour and milk. So of course Ben was curious, at least a little bit.
Maybe not enough to not be distracted by rolling his eyes over Klaus' smug comments. "Right, the polite thing to do." The polite thing would have been something like his brother not even vaguely detailing out the night he'd spent with the charming redhead.
Who was back and dressed and Ben took only the slightest second to think about how that was a loss for the room at large. He'd never say so, of course. "What a talent to have," he said mildly, because for as shy as he was, it didn't mean he wasn't without a certain level of snark.
Crumpets and tea weren't necessary for endearing since it was pretty clear Klaus had liked him plenty enough without, but Ben had to admit it was a pretty rare thing, someone sticking around for Klaus after a wild night. Dave had been -- well. That wasn't Ben's business. But the point was, he'd certainly encourage more of that. So he smiled at his brother and Bill both before finishing off a crumpet and reaching for his tea again. "It's been a pretty great attack so far, Bill," he said, because if he couldn't make fun of his earlier idiocy, who could?
