Kitty shook her head but smiled when John agreed that yes it really had been exactly as boring as he claimed, despite all the evidence to the contrary that he wore on his face. Even with the bruising and stitches he did seem to be in good spirits so Kitty really did let herself try not to worry too much about it - if he was truly hurt she'd have to trust him to tell her as much rather than worrying over him too much.
"You're right." She agreed with a soft laugh, "I'm glad you were able to get all of that properly seen to." Same as before she didn't want to have to worry that he was going to come down with some kind of terrible infection because of their tending to his wounds there in this place. That more than anything would have put a major damper on the evening.
When he told her what Carol had said she couldn't help but smile, small and pleased that there was someone else who had not just seen the good in him but told him as much too. For all that he might like to claim that he was the villain there was good there too. And the more she kept insisting that it was true the more he might not be able to deny it.
"Well then, we better enjoy it," Without the worries for what had happened to him, she could relax just a little bit more and fully appreciate the evening. Both everything he'd managed to pull together for tonight, but also the way he'd put himself together as well.
"Did you go to the shop here in town for your clothes?" She wondered, "Or was that part of your adventuring too?"
