"She told me that she had just gotten back from there before she came here. I went on my trip a few days after that and then I was here but I saw her an hour before I went to bed and then woke up here." It was all very strange. "I guess you don't leave wherever you are when you show up here."
Luke thought about the things that Uncle Owen had told him about Ben, all of which had turned out not to be true or at least not completely true. "My uncle never told me both my parents were dead, my father was a freighter pilot and my mother died shortly after I was born. That was all I ever knew. I found out about you when he bought Artoo from some jawas and he had a holographic message from Leia, she was on her way to see you at her father's request to ask you to help aid in the Rebellion." Luke paused for a minute. "I asked my uncle and he said that you were a crazy old wizard." he grinned. "which you weren't. You were older than you are now by about twenty five years or so I guess but eventually I found you and you told me that my father was a Jedi and gave me his lightsaber."
Luke wasn't going to go in the fact that Ben had not been completely honest with him, there was no need to dredge that up again. He'd already talked to Ben's ghostly self about it and while he wished he had known, he understood why his teacher hadn't told him. "Vader found out who I was somehow, after I blew up the Death Star, but I had no idea until we found ourselves fighting each other on Bespin. He told me then that he was my father and wanted me to join him on the Dark Side. I said no of course and I managed to escape although he cut off my right hand which was replaced of course but I lost his lightsaber in the process which is why I had to make a new one."
he settled himself more comfortably and tried to figure out how to tell Ben the rest. "I didn't even know Leia was my sister until after that. After I had been back to Tatooine even. I went to Dagobah to talk to Yoda who was dying and he told me about her. Vader never knew about her and he wouldn't have known about me except for circumstances. When I faced him again, he picked up on my thoughts, knew that I had a sister but I shut myself before he learned her name. Finding out who our father was has been a lot harder on her, he tortured her, destroyed her home planet, killed her family, we haven't talked about it much, it's still very new to her and I'm sure it can't be easy. At least I had a little longer to get used to knowing he was my father."
