Being gentle with her was more along the lines of what he thought she needed right now. Bucky wasn't against the idea of tough love. He could give that to her in spades if need be. But they hadn't gotten there yet. He wasn't going to get tough on her when he felt right now it was best she just realize that they were there and she wasn't alone no matter what it was that was eating away at her. Both of them, together, would be rocks for her if she needed support, they'd listen to her, they'd talk to her, they'd hold her. Anything she needed, it was hers.
But sometimes it wasn't that simple, and he got that, too. It wasn't always easy to know what you needed, or ask for it, even if it was all right there in front of you. He'd been that way when they'd come to his house that one night, and there'd been plenty of times before that, especially in Wakanda. Though he'd not asked specifically, Bucky had a feeling Clint understood that, too.
"If you're exhausted, then it sounds like a bed is what you need most right now. Come on." He placed a hand gently on the small of her back, not to push or rush her, but to support her as they walked.
