Admittedly, it was a little surprising that Nebula knew his birthday offhand. But not necessarily in a bad way. He liked her, had from the moment they'd both been able to sit still once they were off that god-forbidden planet, and was glad that the friendship they'd built wasn't just some fleeting thing, dictated by the fact that there was no out at the time. "Yeah," he agreed. "That. They threw me a party." Which, obviously, he had left. To be here in a nowhere place. But at least he'd found Nebula.
"We all just sort of -- appeared. All in different ways. The working theory is it's a pocket dimension, something messed up after the Snap. The people here are all from different places, different times." It was hard to explain, but he didn't think this simplified explanation was going to really confuse Nebula all that much, even if it didn't make total sense.
He supposed, if they were both here now, she'd see for herself soon enough. "I didn't name it. Well. Not exactly."
