From his house, John could hear the partying. Hell he was even there for a moment... just to swipe a bottle of cheap booze. Then he vanished back into the shadows before he could be talked to by anyone at all. There was little interest in this idea for him now. Kitty called it being steamrolled, but it wasn't that way. Carol made a suggestion, and Pyro folded like a wet napkin because he had been so concerned about rocking the boat and raising his opinion with people. He could have simply just said no, that he'd find his own booze to go with his barbecue. Though, this was something a lot of people had opinions about, this man Tony Stark. Either one? He'd have to consider that later.
So now that he was back at his house he sat in a lawn chair in front of a fire outside. Just because he wasn't going to be at the party didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the nice weather. His back door open, he was able to hear someone beating on his door for him. He glanced back all the way through his house to the front door. A perked brow, he sighed. Whatever. He shouted, for he wasn't going to get up. "It's open!" It wasn't. Who ever was at the door would hopefully get the picture that he didn't want to be bothered.
Though when he looked up and ultimately saw Kitty at his side, he sighed. "Of course. Locked doors don't stop you." Holding his hand out to the other chair he offered her to sit with him. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be off celebrating with everyone else?"
