Gwen Stacy (Earth 65) & Tony Stark (MCU)
Everyone in this place had voids. Voids created from being ripped out of the world they'd come from, what they left behind. More came in the form of those they'd come to know and care for here being taken away. Gwen didn't know everything about the bond between Tony and the Peter Parker from his world. But she did know that they'd been close. She could sort of fill in the gaps. She knew she couldn't replace Peter; she'd never begin to try. Of all the other people here, Gwen knew how special Peter Parker was, no matter what world he came from. But she could be someone else for Tony, just as he was someone else for her. Gwen missed her father terribly. George Stacy wasn't replaceable. But they could mean something to each other. That was enough for her.
There were some emotions passing between them that remained checked, but also very understood. It solidified what Gwen hoped was true. It meant as much to him as it did to her whenever they had a moment to spend together. Quality time was a gift that had no monetary value but the emotional impact was profound. They needed it; in truth, they needed each other.
"Awesome!" She said. "I'll pop by, same time as before. I'll bring snacks. Definitely coffee." Much as she would've liked to keep him longer, Gwen had monopolized one of the two guests of honor for a while and she knew he'd be missed. "You have fun tonight. This is your party. Happy Birthday, Mr. Stark."
