Repeating the phrase didn't really edify Laura any further, so she was glad when it carried on into an explanation, even if it was still somewhat lacking in detail. She didn't even bother trying to figure out whether things like this were things she had personally missed out on or simply didn't exist in her world. It hardly seemed worth the effort, with so little possibility of coming to a firm conclusion. "I didn't have many toys growing up," she said with a small shrug, careful not to shake loose any of the hair she was holding. "They probably didn't sell them in Transia anyway. I don't think enough people have spare money."
They did have mirrors though, and time to learn to do this sort of thing, and she was relieved that Barbara only focused on being nice about it instead of asking why she didn't know already. "I'm Laura."
