Bold of her to assume he'd been keeping up with the network posts -- but it was true, actually, so it wasn't like Tony could argue the fact. He liked knowing things, like being up-to-date, and very much did not like feeling stupid. So yeah, even if he'd never met her, he knew who she was: Jean Grey. She was from a different dimension where they had something called mutants (and, really, he wasn't sold on that being positive terminology) who all had powers they were born with. And from what he'd gathered, she was from a-- dimension adjacent to that one? Not "616" but something close. Possibly closer than whatever his was in comparison to 616.
It was all a mess to keep track of.
She came on strong, and it was a pretty big change from all the Spider-Clutter that hung around, all Mr. Stark and polite. He didn't mind. It wasn't like he demanded one over the other. He was well aware that this girl knew some version of him, but didn't consider it much of a disadvantage. "I've got time," he agreed, gesturing vaguely to one of the stools he'd scrounged up. He made time for anyone who asked; it wasn't like he was short on it these days. Not like sleep came easily or that he had pressing business matters or the world to save.
