"Okay," Ben said, crossing his arms over his chest and rocking back on the heels of his sneakers. He was, admittedly, a little sore that he'd never gotten bowling shoes like the rest of his family, even if he'd been there in that stupid bowling alley along with all the rest of them. Not that he was ever going to say so.
He got the general concept of the doors -- had taken his time in reading back on the forum-things to have learned some things, because that had been easier than talking to people. He was good at standing around and observing from a distance and barrier, after all. But even knowing about something didn't really mean it was a complete preparation. It might get weird.
Well, stealing things and running was weird. But it might get weirder yet.
"If the place is on fire or something, I'm not going," he said, but gestured at the door anyway, willing Klaus to open it up already. He would, in fact, like to look around a little. Getting to actually interact with the world was still novel.
