Hm, interesting. "I suppose I know that feeling," he replied. "Waking up before the sun rises or right as sun rise tends to be normal for me, too." For most people, anything before the sun--or mid-dawn--was too early. For Steve, it was like breathing. Though, if he were honest, there were some days he enjoyed waking up well after it was sunrise. But, to be fair, life in the academy was a little different than life during the war. Even still, old habits died hard.
"Have you been here long?" he asked deciding to pick up his things off the ground. He stuffed them into the bag he had concealed underneath his shield when he arrived. "Are there people you know here?" He chuckled a bit. "There are people here who are similar to people I know, but they're just..." He supposed there wasn't a better way of putting it. "Older, I guess."
