Back on the other side of the door Kitty was panting, leaning over the cart and catching her breath. Part of her felt like they were still back there, like they should be worried about those things following them back through the door but once it closed it looked like that was it - that place was gone and there was nothing left but the town they'd started in.
"Yeah, yeah I'm okay." She agreed after a moment, standing up again after she'd taken stock of herself and that the door was staying closed, there were no flames coming through after them either.
Looking at him again, the rage she'd seen in his eyes just minutes earlier was gone, leaving nothing but concern as he looked at her and asked if she was alright now. Though she'd had her doubts about his proclamation that he'd turned over a new leaf when they'd talked before seeing this side of him now was more than enough to convince her that he was being honest about that.
"What about you, can I -" She started reaching out toward him just a little, not grabbing for him the way she had before, needing to make sure she had a hold on him so she could phase him as well, but instead allowing him the opportunity to say no if he wanted.
