That look he gave, he had given so many times before. Against her, and other X-Men. Innocents. Just average people. This time around, he wasn't stopped from his fury and his flames.
Kitty allowed him to destroy what ever these people were. If they could call them people.
As ridiculous as it was, she was still pushing that cart, and Pyro wasn't about to stop her. He bled for those items, and he sure the fuck was going to make sure they made it back with them. This food was going to feed the village. It was going to give them something to gather around for. It was going to cause something that resembled joy. Right? That's why he was doing it. Joy, and bringing nostalgia to the people. Or some shit like that.
When Kitty grabbed him, his almost immediate answer was to yank his arm away, but she grabbed the one that happened to have a knife sticking in it. There was no moving that arm currently. He allowed to be pulled through aisles and displays. Weird feeling honestly, but a welcomed short cut.
Once they were in the clear going towards the door, Pyro ran ahead and yanked the door open. Once Kitty was through, Pyro lit the place up for an extra sense of security and good measure. Unleashing flames through the whole hardware store, and then going through the door also slamming the door closed behind him.
They were back. They had made it back from that hell. A dramatic one-eighty flip, his softer eyes looked to Kitty. "You alright?"
