It took her a second to realize what happened when John grabbed her and spun them around, she saw it in his eyes though and her eyes went wide when he turned from her she saw the knife that had been lodged in his shoulder.
She'd seen that look on his face before, that kind of anger, but it had been leveled at the X-Men in the past, this time though it was for these people - but that felt like a generous term for them. They couldn't truly be people. They were something else, this place was something else and Kitty didn't try and stop him when he turned his flames on the group chasing them, it was one thing when those powers had been used to hurt the people she cared about, or turned on innocents, but these people - they were far from innocent.
They were going to have to talk when they made it back through though, that much was obvious, but here and now was not the place for it, so when John swept away the fire that had been in their path she didn't hesitate as she started moving again. They were getting out of here and they weren't coming back. Kitty wasn't sure she wanted to go through the doors at all again - she'd heard a lot of different stories about what people had found on the otherside but this was something else entirely.
It felt ridiculous still pushing the cart with what she'd picked up for them, but Kitty was nothing if not stubborn and she wasn't about to leave it behind on account of some hopped up homemakers, and she pushed the cart back through the home improvement store and back to the door they'd come in through.
Just after she set foot in the building again, Kitty heard a chanting starting, something loud that made the ground start to rumble, like there was something big coming and Kitty wasn't about to stick around and see what new fresh hell this place had in store for them, or take their time in getting out. She reached out and grabbed on to John and phased him with her and the cart through loaded aisles and back to the right one spotting the door they needed. "There!"
