The fresh air hit him and it sent the hairs on the back of his neck on end as the sweat on his skin cooled quickly. He'd been expecting they might pull apart, but Klaus stayed close and Bill slid his thumb through onto of his belt loops to guide him backward. There was a windowsill there at the right height and he lifted Klaus up enough to sit on it and he stood between his knees, Bill clearly wasn't shy.
"You must really like to smoke," he said as he slid a packet free from his trouser pocket. Bill placed a cigarette between his lips and one between Klaus' as well before he lit them both at the same time.
Everything seemed so loud now they were outside and he swore he could hear the sound of Klaus' heart beating in his chest. "You're quite the dancer, love."
