It was true. Carol was sure of herself- hell, she was cocky. She knew it. It came with the territory of being a pilot, and later with the whole nearly-invisible thing. Carol wasn't used to being overpowered or even out-raced.
So, his sudden dodge surprised her. and she stopped and turned around midair, just staring at him. She looked impressed, grinning and cocking her head to the side. "Okay, wonder-boy. I'm impressed."
She was studying him, now, before making her next move. Sure, Carol was usually a punch-first and ask questions later sort of girl. But, she already figured this guy might (big might) be able to out-punch and out-fly her. Which meant she'd have to think about how to go about this. This kind of challenge was definitely exciting.
"I don't want to hurt you- how invulnerable would you say you were?" She was serious about the question, pausing briefly to try to figure out exactly what it might take to outmaneuver him.
