"What do you mean you lost Ben? Ben's...gone, Klaus." Was he hallucinating? He'd have to be delirious if he thought Ben was alive. He'd died a long time ago. Diego missed him as much as anyone, but he was gone. No point dwelling on it.
Diego made a face. Klaus' thoughts seemed random, all over the place. And he only heard a few of them. Whatever was going on inside his head probably resembled a three ring circus. Maybe five or six rings, really. Diego could only imagine the chaos that was Klaus' thoughts.
Diego sighed. Klaus was Klaus. There was some comfort in that. In the fact he wasn't alone. He liked Klaus. Of all his living siblings, Klaus was probably his favorite. Not that he'd want to be stuck with him in some freaking alternate reality. But better Klaus than say, Luther. Diego groaned at the thought.
What other explanation was there, except that Five fucked up? "He must have gotten the trajectory wrong." Five might be an old man, but he'd lived to his ripe old age in a different timeline. In their reality he was still a kid. And kids were notorious for fucking up. Five was no better than anyone else.
