Okay. Already with annoying each other. Grand start. Something that could have easily been expected. Ultimately, Pyro meant what he said about himself. He really wasn't in the interest of causing trouble. Much. Habits and all. He had a second chance at a life, and he wasn't interested in pissing it away. So here he was. Dimension hopping and looking for books.
"Right. Your questions are more important than mine." Pyro mused slightly turning his focus about the city. He looked up and down the street. People milling about, but paying no real focus on them. "Books." Was what he finally said starting down a sidewalk directing his goal. "I'm here for books."
Regardless if she decided to catch up or not was up to her, but Pyro was on a mission and a goal. Books for this droll library Natasha was setting up. Casually while walking, John flipped open and closed his lighter cap. A nervous tick perhaps. Just something to keep his focus on the task at hand.
But the thing to catch his mind was a news stand filled with news papers and magazines. Pyro stopped and flipped through a paper quick. No news of mutants anywhere. No heroes, mutants, or anything.
How was that possible?
When Paige caught up with him proper, he looked to her. "We don't exist here." Not so urgent, but concern in his voice. The mutant advocate never like that idea, despite hearing about other people in the town never hearing of mutants.
