Nyx | Jan :: Doorway Acquaintances
A man after her own heart. Jan beamed at his understanding, sighing as he listed all the things they should eat, because she saw it as a sort of permission. She could be a bit intense when it came to food and she wasn't sure if Nyx was ready to handle it. But based off the reaction he had to what accessories she wanted him to try, he seemed like a pretty laid back guy. She could appreciate that.
"Mozzarella sticks are must," she said, picking her menu back up. "I was going to get a milkshake too...maybe cheese fries instead of regular fries?" She looked over at him for confirmation as the waitress brought her drink back. She took a sip and beamed up at her at the right flavor. "Thanks!" Her spirits were definitely in a better place and she started to list off all the items she and Nyx would be eating. Which was enough to feed six people, but Jan didn't worry about it. She handed her menu to the waitress, looking at Nyx with a cheesy grin for his turn to order. She would definitely share, but she figured there were a few things he wanted that she hadn't of ordered. Maybe?
As the waitress left, she shrugged at his payment question. "I still have my credit card," she said, feeling the pocket she kept it in. "You never know when you might need it in an emergency! I'm just lucky it was in my suit when I arrived!" Very lucky. She wasn't sure what the total on it was yet, but she figured there was no way she was close to getting it maxed out. Ah, the privileges of having her Centurion card.
"So you worked your way up to the...Kingsglave?" She tried out the word, thinking she wasn't pronouncing it quite like he was. She gave him a sympathetic smile when he mentioned the loss of his sword's partner. "Sorry to hear about losing that sword. It might arrive though! If you wish really really REALLY hard! I did that with my sewing machine! It just showed up in my room one day!" They still didn't know the ins and outs of this village, but who could say no to a gift? Especially one that was so personal and practical!
"Hey, just keeping an open mind is good enough for me! But if you're really comfortable with just jeans and a shirt..." She shrugged to show she didn't care. She wanted to educate on the fun ways to accessorize so it wasn't just a plain outfit, but she knew it wasn't everyone's cup of tea. They were crazy, but she could understand.
Jan's mouth dropped open as he conjured a fireball in his hand, snuffing it out as quickly as he had created it. "WOW!" She glanced his hand to his face. "Are you a wizard? Did you have to learn how to do that or was it something you've always been able to do? Can you do anything else? Can you throw the fireball at something or someone?" The questions came quickfire at him, but she couldn't help it; it looked really cool.
