Obi-Wan | Rose :: Pumped Up Kicks
It was amusing to watch poor Rose struggle with the concept, but Ben just nodded and smiled. "Um...kind of? There's definitely a feeling. It's more of a connection, I guess- to all things living. Well, all things in the universe. Even here. But it's not as strong for me here. Perhaps because this isn't my universe." He sounded a bit sad at the notion but then went on. "It's always been hard for me to explain. I was born with a sensitivity to it. It's something that exists even for those who don't feel it, but there are people like me who can reach in and use it to our advantage."
Maybe that made more sense. Maybe it didn't. Ben wasn't sure, but turning back to the door he could tell she was thinking about something important to her. Or someone. He studied her quietly as she took her time to consider. Then she mentioned going on her own. His brow furrowed and he realized she was considering going through the doors.
"I wouldn't be against it." The truth was he'd considered opening it and stepping in on the other side before now. Why not? So long as they could make it back. He had his lightsaber and his wits. That was enough, right?
"Alright. Ladies first, then." He stepped aside, hand on his belt and technically at the ready as he let her take the lead, but was careful to stay close. Just in case. For her sake.
