It had taken a while to get used to being here and Poe still wasn't quite there yet but it was less of a shock now. He would adjust and end up thriving, he wasn't ever one to back down from a challenge after all. Though even he had to admit having everybody he knew disappear was a bit more unusual than anything else that had happened to him before and he'd experienced quite a lot in his life so far.

He would get home eventually, he knew that. There was too many people here trying to find a way for them not to succeed at some point. He simply had to put his faith in that and do what he could to help.

But right now he was looking forward to going on a bit of an adventure with Leia, BB-8 had been reminding him since they got up to not call her General. She hadn't shown any interest in learning what her future held and he respected that. It had been fascinating first meeting her younger self, she was still incredible as Poe had known she would be but she was far more impulsive and intrepid. It was going to be a fun day. He could tell.

BB-8's beeps pulled him from his thoughts and he grinned as he saw her approaching, "Good morning" he greeted her, "Ready for some fun?"

Quickly Leia followed, and as they passed through her gaze darted about - both in an effort to take everything in, and in a manner to spot anything related to the Empire, Stormtroopers or otherwise, anything that might mean their expedition would be made trickier - so far she’d not encountered any such issues - at least not any that would see her recognised and arrested as a Rebel leader.

“I’m not certain- ” She said, more sure of the planets they weren’t on the sandy, rural or more natural ones, keeping close beside Poe, but trying to remain inconspicuous.. “But it’s got to be a Core world, with this much traffic, don’t you think?” Alderaan had been the only core world to be so careful not to lose it’s natural resources and beauty. “Coruscant- I think? It’s got to be?” She gave a small sigh, with a wry sort of smirk. “Of course these doors would give us the galactic capital, let’s just hope it’s not under the Empire-” Her voice a little frustrated, but still determined. The presence of troopers and Imperial ships would be a dead giveaway, she kept a keen glance about her.

"Definitely" Poe agreed, this was not one of the small outer planets, this was far too built up for that. As they looked around BB-8 moved towards another droid and after a brief exchange returned to Poe, "You're right, Coruscant" Poe confirmed once BB-8 told him what he'd learnt "Well it may be the capital but there must be a lot of things we can bring back that would be helpful right? I mean, it's a pretty great opportunity"

He tried to look on the brightside, giving Leia a grin which dimmed slightly as he noticed an Imperial officer over her shoulder. Though he wasn't currently flanked by stormtroopers which was a good sign. "Okay, so there's an officer talking to someone important looking behind you, it must be early days though, I don't see any troopers anywhere around"

Leia agreed turned quickly to his words, concern in her eyes - however, as Poe had easily observed, there was no reason for too much concern, studying the uniform of the officer, and the lack of guard following. “You’re right. The republic has fallen ..but barely. Neither of us are about to be recognised in any case.” The infant version of her might exist here - but that’s hardly a concern.

It allowed her to relax, a little at least, one less thing to keep them on edge. Still, that didn’t stop them getting arrested if they got caught where they shouldn’t be, did it? “But- this does up the stakes a little, don't you think?” In a good way, Leia’s smile indicated, eyes bright as if a thought had sparked; quickly Leia scooped Poe’s arm to link with her’s so they’d blend in a little more among the crowds, encouraging him to walk on as she talked, in a slightly lower voice.

“So we were thinking ..maybe spare parts, you know? Whatever we could scavenge if the opportunity arose- but maybe we can aim even higher, you think we could fit a speeder through that exit door?” You know, spare parts and a speeder is better than just one or the other right?

"That's one relief at least" The worry of being recognised could be put behind them, which left them free to focus on what they needed and wanted to do. It definitely helped Poe relax, not needing to thing about that was a weight off their shoulders.

When Leia linked her arm with his he looked at her questioningly before smiling when he saw that mischievous look in her expression. It was one he recognised from himself.

At her words his own smile widened to match hers, "I am sure we could" he told her, "Might as well grab as much as we can while we're in a relatively safe world right? It would be a shame to miss such an opportunity"

Excellent. Leia clearly seemed pleased he was on board, nodding. "Alright, so how are we going to go about this?" She wondered quietly, still casting glaces about, she was less nervous about staying on guard at this point, more curious to find something that might meet their needs, and appearing casual. "First we’ve got to find something suitable. Property of the Empire, obviously." Perhaps she was almost a little too at ease with Poe, given they’d only recently met. But she couldn’t help it, he was the spitting image of Kes and she’d been so fond of both his parents; he was a connection to them, the friends she’d left behind.

As they walked together through the street, her gaze continued to shift, still looking for something. "And we’ll need a diversion, I suppose-" She smiled warmly to him as another thought occurred. “I’m sure I can trust you to make the getaway, right? Your mother’s skill is one of the reasons I’m still alive." The way Shara had spoken, she’d had every hope her son would love to fly, so, intrinsically, Leia trusted to Poe to fly whatever kind of speeder they might happen upon. Leia certainly was a pilot too, she’d flown speeders, she was skilled to a degree, but not talented.

But hey, that was close to a plan right? Spot something, cause a distraction, hop on the speeder and get the kriff out of there.
