Upset aside, it was almost surprising how easily all this came -- the cuddling and kissing and all that. Not that Sirius had ever imagined Remus would be difficult, but he'd always sort of worried about there being some other kind of fall out, or confusion or something.
But there just hadn't been. They were exactly as they'd been before, except now Sirius got to put his head in Remus' lap whenever he wanted to. Well, bad example. He'd already done that. Mostly it was just kissing and cuddling without pretending they had some other reason to be doing it beyond just wanting to.
"You know I can't," Sirius lamented, even as he lifted his chin up a bit, like he was inviting Remus to take all the space he wanted in his trail of kissing even while he snuck his own hands up Remus' shirt. "But maybe just for a while yet."
