Even though Remus knew that they needed to acknowledge what had happened more than they already had, he also wanted to just.. be with Sirius in the moment right now and maybe try to find some happiness after being so very sad about losing James.
But the truth was, he was scared of losing Sirius in one way, shape or form and it was a really hard feeling to shake. It made him want to just cling tightly to Sirius and never let him go. That was, of course, ridiculous and not at all logical, but he couldn't help it. It was his feelings for him that usually made a lot of the logic he usually relied upon fly right out the window.
"When have you known me to gloat?" He said, with a smile as his fingers ran down Sirius' jaw, and along the side of his neck. He sat quietly for a moment after that, just mindlessly but affectionately touching him here and there. "I'm sorry," he went on to apologize. "I didn't get back before you woke up. I hope I didn't worry you."
