No. Kissing Steve was different. Like maybe it was just a wholly different experience when both people meant it, when it wasn't just some weekend fling or one night stand. When it wasn't something closer to platonic. Or maybe it was just... Steve.
This was good because it gave him something to focus on that was in there here and now instead of being all over the place. It wasn't like everything suddenly went quiet on him, but things were sharper now. Easier. Steve's hands fit on his hips fine, but Tony thought he could make it work a bit better, which was why he had zero inhibitions about breaking the kiss for a moment in order to crawl into Steve's lap.
He wasn't rushing. He just was too amped to go too slow, either.
"Steve," he responded, because Steve didn't seem to want anything other than to say his name like it held hidden meanings and entire universes in just two syllables. It was a heady thing, but also a bit overwhelming.
