"I'd really hate to hit you," She warned him when he suggested some version of Superman, which was just a whole other level of weird that she didn't even want to begin to consider. "You know I wasn't just talking about Dick." She added just to be sure that he got it through his thick head. It still stung a little to have been turned down by him - but she'd understood, Jason liked being on the move, maybe even needed it. She was always going to be in Gotham, it had been a foolish idea in the first place.
But being stuck here, not being able to leave? That could lead to so much, good or bad and Barbara knew herself well enough to know that she could use things like this as a very easy distraction if she really wanted to. And considering what she was going back to, well a distraction was very tempting at times.
She nodded though as he agreed, "I don't think any of us can just up and leave our lives forever, not even Dick, no matter what this place seems to be." And no matter what they were going back to - things were going to be bad when she got home, she knew that, but she couldn't just run away from it, she had to face.
