Okay Barbara had maybe sorta kinda thought they could sneak out the back and it'd all be fine, but she'd forgotten the part where people always surrounded the buildings in cases like these.
And then everything was happening so fast, Harley went out shooting and then she ran out of bullets and well - as much as Barbara didn't want people getting killed she was pretty sure Harley and her gun had been keeping them from getting shot as well. So the realization that they were without that now was a little bit of a kick in the gut.
"Oh god," She was breathing fast and closed her eyes for just a second like that would help her get her bearings, she shouldn't have had that tequila, not until they were back through the door. She hadn't been thinking.
"Okay," She exhaled, even a little tipsy she was fine, she could do this, she was Batgirl. "Okay, we can do this." She said mostly for herself, but also for Harley though she doubted the other woman needed the reassurance the way she did.
Just then a man came around the corner where they'd been huddled up behind a building with a gun raised and Barbara didn't even think about it, just picked up what she would later realize was a discarded horseshoe and lobbed it at him, the same way she'd have thrown a batarang and it hit him straight upside the head and he crumpled. "We can't stay here, they'll be coming in a minute. Come on," She reached for Harley's hand both for a little added reassurance for herself and to make sure that Harley actually came with her.
