Okay yeah, Barbara was starting to feel pretty guilty about all of this, but part of her reasoned it was better here than back in the town where they were staying? Yeah it was a poor excuse even to her ears, but maybe these places were like holograms, not really here, or just here while they were and then they'd be gone again. It helped ease her conscience just a little but not too much.
She told herself that Harley was just defending them, that the men in town and now the bartender had been going to shoot them. She could have busted out Batgirl maybe, stopped Harley and all these people. But she didn't think that would be wise either - so she was doing her best to ride along a very thin line while they were here. And she'd just have to live with the consequences of that later.
"Um...." She didn't really know and it felt weird to basically make an order while they were robbing the place.
And then Harley mentioned him and it felt like the ground went out from under her. She didn't know how to respond to that, what to say that wouldn't give away her obvious torment at even hearing his name. She'd come into contact with him too many times in her life, and he'd torn it apart each and every time. And here was Harley pretty much wishing he was here with them. Her version, but she couldn't imagine a version of the Joker that she didn't have the same reaction to.
"I think we're gonna need all the tequila you have too." She decided because she was going to need a drink when she got back. Maybe she could talk Dick into sharing with her.
