Harley thought it was cute how Barbara was trying to handle the situation, but she just stood back as she watched her try to reason with the man. The Sheriff clearly didn't buy into it, his eyes narrowing on Harley, who was loving this all.
"Ya wanna know what I think, Babsy? I think he's threatened by us. Two innocent, weak little girls who have more balls than the big macho Sheriff here, willin' to strut into town and make a scene and not give two shits about what anyone else thinks."
The Sheriff glared. "That's it, you're coming with me." He reached over and grabbed Harley's arm, the very one holding the bat. Big mistake. She smiled and suddenly reached over and punched him hard in the chin with the opposite hand. The man was caught off guard and Harley took the opportunity to use her body weight and throw the man over her back as she ducked, leaving him on the ground and groaning and the others in the town just...staring.
She just tossed her hair and grinned. "What? He touched me first." The Sheriff growled and started to get up, but Harley was already on him with the bat, hitting him once in the stomach as the Sheriff's deputies started to run towards s them and a bullet whizzed past Barbara's head.
