Remus felt like he needed to sit down. Either he'd completely lost his mind (which really wasn't unbelievable, all things considered), or he'd been taken to some sort of realm of sorts and was standing face to face with Sirius Black from a few years ago, before everything. If the latter was truly the case, then he had no idea what was coming for him. He had no idea where he was going to end up, guilty or not. He had no idea of the loss he would endure -- again, guilty or not. Merlin's beard, how was he supposed to even begin to talk about it? Chocolates weren't going to help with this. Not at all.
One of the things that Remus had always loved and held so dear about Sirius was his uncanny ability to be so carefree and wild, in spite of all the darkness he'd been surrounded by throughout his childhood. There was a light in those silvery grey eyes of his, and it was still there now. Surely it would dull when he learned the truth, and Remus didn't want to be the one to put out that light.
"I haven't seen you in months," he said, quietly. "Everything..." This was too much. Reliving the last six months, the last year, was too damn much. "Everything's gone wrong."
