Sirius, being a rather theatrical type, was nearly always about a bit of a dramatic pause, but he had to admit he didn't love it in this instance. Because while Moony's slightly drooped shoulders and lanky everything else frame was distinguishable and Sirius was sure he'd never not recognize it, he was nearly worried for a moment that he'd gotten it wrong and this wasn't his best mate across the court yard.
But no. He'd been right. There Remus was, turning about and being his fantastic understated self, just like Sirius had been hoping for. Minus that pause. Which he may or may not ruminate on later, if he recalled it.
"It's just like you," Sirius said, hopping down the steps of his porch to meet Remus up closer. "Showing up fashionably late as ever, while I show up practically first, like some kind of excited idiot." It should have been the other way around. Sirius had always likened himself as someone quite cool and not very timely. "Mind no one knows where here is, so that's not much a problem. Or it is, but not one for just you. Wotcher? You're looking tired. You need a sit down? Or I could show you around. It's not much of an adventure, but not a bad start."
