"Why thank you, Gordon," he said, making the most grandiose bow he could think of to hide the tension in his heart. Love was not a finite resource. He knew that deep in his bones. No matter how many times he'd gently reminded Peter of that when he'd been worried about his thing with the wizard making Dick uncomfortable he knew that this- Him and Babs was so much different.
He could love both of them no problem. That wasn't the issue. The issue was the long complicated history. The ache in his heart for her that never quite went away. He couldn't let himself do anything until he talked to Peter. God help him, he wanted to flop on that bed next to her and see where things took them.
"A house. A working kitchen. Still pretty sure this is a bizzaro world and we need to keep our guards up," he teased. "Oh. And if you come home one day and there's just a panther it's just Peter's wizard boyfriend. It's fine."
