Steve Rogers ([info]captainhandsome) wrote in [info]snapthread,
Klaus | Steve the snack
"Not as soon as the sun goes down," Steve said with a smile, although her wasn't all that far from the truth. Early to bed, less time to watch shadows climb the walls and push away dust on the wind. Although in sleep it was all different, bombs and ice water in his veins, there was no real winning. But the early mornings were good, just Steve and the quiet, the start of a new day and Klaus clearly knew that's when he was up and around. "My scene? No, not really."

The small talk was easy, all laced with that heavy eye contact that sometimes had Steve's head dropping and cheeks flushing. It was Tony and Bucky that got Steve's attention across the room, because the exchange? It wasn't good and he felt it like a stone dropping in his gut. Steve kept an eye on it for a few minutes until Bucky left and he thought about going after him, actually put his glass down to do it as the music changed.

"Want to dance?" Steve asked instead.
