Tony Stark: Earth's Best Defender ([info]allaboutego) wrote in [info]snapthread,
Bucky Barnes (MCU) & Tony; JARVIS trolls on 4chan
Tony wasn't trying to throw anyone under a bus, not even a little. If anything, he wanted to pull them all out of the line of any busses coming their way. He wanted to do it in a way where they all saw what the problems were, acknowledged them, and then pushed them to the side for something new instead of really dealing though.

Or maybe he didn't want that. Maybe he wanted to argue it out, maybe he wanted to yell and shout and finally break like he'd needed to for years now.

He didn't know. Especially right now he didn't. The smart tiny little part of his brain that still had common sense left told him he'd regret so, so much tomorrow. But he was ignoring it. "That's what I'm saying," he said, desperate to be understood and failing spectacularly. "He doesn't have to be. We can -- it. It doesn't always have to be about him." Except the part where it probably did, at least a little. Because even Tony, a star that shined bright all on his own and without any help seemed to revolve at least a little bit around Steve Rogers. It was impossible not to.

Then again, maybe the vice verse could be said of Steve.

Tony wiped his hands across his face, clearly frustrated, and wobbled slightly left and then right before he righted himself again. "You're fucking stubborn," he decided, and didn't sound so much mad as surprisingly impressed.
