Bucky (MCU) & Steve (AVAC)
"I hear that," he said with a small nod. "Waking up after getting thawed out took some adjustment time. Nothing really prepares you for waking up almost a hundred years in the future." He wore that trademark Steve grin. "Definitely nothing like the funny pages from when we were kids." He sighed wistfully. "I was hoping for more hover cars and people living on the moon." He laughed. "Instead, it was just a different kind of space age."
He ran his fingers through his hair at Bucky's question and thought about it for a moment. "I was with my Bucky," he said with a small, sad smile. "Hunting down the rest of Hydra and doing what we do best." He chuckled. "Well, in between when he was writing his broody songs." He glanced at the older Bucky. "Do you play music, too? Or is that just my world." It'd be nice if there were some things that were the same, though. Though, he hoped, not everything. Bucky's struggles with the horrible things he'd done was something he often wished he could spare him from. But, he supposed, that was part of Bucky's journey and if there was one thing that he was sure of -- it was that Bucky would be the hero he always knew Bucky was.
After all, Bucky had always been his growing up. Not that he'd ever said it aloud.
