Peter B | Gwen
Gwen was - well she was a lot like the Gwen he'd know and Peter found that a special kind of comfort, but he actually had the chance to get to know this Gwen, they didn't have to spend their time figuring out a way to stop Kingpin or how to keep Miles safe until he figured out how to be Spider-Man, or any of those things that had kept them all from being able to actually just sit down and talk before. It was good - not being alone in the world was good, and Gwen helped to remind him of that.
"You know we'd have you guys on in a heartbeat," Peter was quick to assure her because of course they would, if he could get up and sing really bad Karaoke of course they'd have Gwen and her actual band play them some real music and give everyone a break from the assault that was bound to come when they got the Karaoke going for real.
He watched Gwen take her first drink with his own mug held up, hiding his grin behind the vessel but unable to hold back a huff of laughter when she made a face. "Yeah it's definitely something," He agreed. Beer might have been a better start, but beer was shit okay, sure he drank it - but that was because he was divorced and lame, but Gwen, she deserved better than bad beer.
"Just things I like?" He paused to consider that, "Well let's see. Pizza obviously, nothing beats a slice of pepperoni - especially when you can get it delivered to you rooftop." He sighed wistfully at the memory of that. "I love the Mets, did you ever go to any games? My Uncle Ben, we used to go to games together when I was a kid, those were some of the greatest of all time. Never could give it up - not even after- well after." He shrugged, he'd thought it would be too difficult for a while, to do something that he and Ben had always done together, but it had still been great, just in a different way.
"What about you? Tell me about that band of yours." That was a kind of cool Peter could never aspire to and he loved that it was something Gwen had.
