Tony Stark: Earth's Best Defender ([info]allaboutego) wrote in [info]snapthread,
Bucky Barnes (MCU) & Tony IDK
Tony didn't mean it like an interrogation, not really. He just had come up and thought, well, there was no point in beating around any bushes. That sort of conversation was annoying going on confusing and while Tony was a genius and had been raised in an environment where he was supposed to be able to deal with delicate conversation and media and all sorts of other things -- well. People weren't machines and he wasn't actually all that good at people unless he was making a true effort.

It was best to just say what was on his mind instead of circling around and hoping he'd be able to get to it eventually.

"Exactly," he said, spreading his fingers wide like he was emphasizing the point he hadn't quite made yet. "We aren't. But you're just -- avoiding. You're avoidant. I offered you Steve food that first week and you're just--" Well, he wanted to say poof, into thin air but the idea of anyone being dust sort of made him feel upset. "Not around. Is it me? Is it my face?"

He knew why. He did. Obviously. Of course. No question.

But he also just... wanted to get over it.
