Re: Peter B | Carol
Peter could recognize that Carol was trying to help him, it wasn't her fault that he was an emotionally stunted man child after all. So he didn't let it stick too much that she was offering him an out that he hadn't really asked for, and maybe it was the sort of thing that MJ would like, he wondered. She'd never asked him to give up Spider-Man, not at any point, not when she'd wanted to start a family, not when they'd gotten married, she'd never wanted him to choose.

"Guess maybe that's the sort of thing we all have to consider at some point." He said slowly, even if it was a little bit terrifying. Maybe he'd be like that other Peter Parker, killed and made into some kind of hero for the city after the fact, well he'd been a hero the whole time - but you know. Unmasked. But Carol was right, she was in a different position than him, her powers made her different. "I can't imagine anyone who knows you not wanting you around though."

"I'm glad you're out here looking out for me when I finally make it to those old and fragile years." He said with a huff though, taking another drink because well that was better than the encroaching sense of mortality that was creeping up at him.
