"He was-" Klaus paused for a moment, thinking of Dave and the curve of his mouth and the way he touched him, and had trusted him even though Klaus was in exactly the wrong place at exactly the wrong time. But they made it work, Klaus hadn't been able to resist him, he'd have fallen for him again and again if he'd had the chance. "He was great, you know. Way cooler than a guy like me should ever have had a chance at. He liked to slow dance. I never though I was much of a slow dancer." But Dave had proved him wrong.
It was better to think about the here and now though, and not what he'd lost. And right here and now was a tall slice of corn chip that Klaus was very much interested in knowing better. "I'm certainly considering it now." He'd have been an idiot not to, and maybe he didn't have a shot but Klaus would always shoot his shot when ever possible. "How about you?"
"My previous experience was more of the save the city kind of thing." He shrugged, saving the world was a bit bigger than his normal work. Well past work he supposed, it had been years since he'd been in the saving people line of business. "I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and guess you might have done it more than twice." He grinned though, neither one of them seemed all that eager to boast - Klaus got that, the Umbrella Academy was ridiculous why would he want to tell anyone about that? Especially when he could instead focus on getting to know tall, not so dark, and handsome instead.
