Tony understood that this was vulnerability, yeah. Of course he did. These were the kinds of conversations he had behind closed doors, and only with a list of people that wouldn't have made up the fingers on one hand. Rhodey, Pepper. Maybe Steve, depending what part of their relationship they were in at any given moment.
So even if it was a lot of namedropping about people that meant nothing to Tony, not even in terms of recognition, he could understand that they were people Dick cared about. That was probably all he needed to know. But he got it. The idea of peace was one that Tony'd kind of given up on, but he'd hoped and planned for it daily until he hadn't been allowed to anymore. He wanted some of that stuff too. Peace on Earth. No more reason to fight constantly. To be able to go and make a home and a family with the people he loved most. They were all ideas that were dashed into the wind literally these days, but it didn't mean other people couldn't have those same hopes. Tony wouldn't take that from anyone.
"No," he said after a long beat. "That's a good list. It beats skydiving and Disney World."
