Who: Superhusbands
What: Valentines NSFW
When: February 14th after the party
Where: Out then in

Steve knew that it wasn't a big deal, that he and Eddie had kissed, that Tony wouldn't be angry about it because it hadn't been their fault. The whole night had got a little sideways because Steve hadn't planned on getting close to anyone except his Always Sweetheart. But this place always threw a curve ball when you thought you had it all figured out it changed. The longer they stayed the more the kissing booth got used and he stepped up behind Tony and wrapped his arm around his chest from behind.

"Let's go home before-" he gestured to the kissing booth where the curtain shook and the whole thing gave a suggestive wobble.

As soon as they stepped outside to walk the few yards home Steve tucked Tony against him, his arm draped a little possessively and heavy around his shoulders. "Well that was not quite what I had in mind," Steve admitted with a sigh, but he was smiling. It was kind of hard not to when you were as lucky as he was.

"Before we make out like idiot teenagers with more people who aren't each other?" Tony asked, somewhat bemused, even if he knew Steve was alluding more to what they could be getting up to in that little booth with each other.

Yeah. It was best to leave. Romance, Tony had decided long enough ago now, was best celebrated in private. Even if he did, occasionally, have that little streak in him that said it was just as nice in public.

He stuck his hand into the back pocket of Steve's jeans as they walked, the cold nipping at his cheeks -- but Steve was warm. He was always warm and Tony used that as a shield against the brisk night. "It definitely happened," he agreed after a moment. Unexpected, yeah. But what else was new?

"Yes," Steve said as he made a face. Not annoyed but more bemused, afterward he certainly had no desire to experience that again. He was a one person person and Steve had experienced quite enough newness for one night.

Maybe somewhere else, where people didn't know them, there might be a semi-public fantasy or two. But at home, where everyone knew them, he liked to keep things behind closed doors. Steve liked his privacy, preferred people think him a prude and only one person know better.

He adored how Tony curved into him, not that he'd walked many places with people like this, but he felt sure no two people had ever fit together so well. Steve kissed his temple as he let out a sigh. "Let's never speak of it again?" He suggested as he turned up the street toward their house.

Yes, Steve was definitely a one person sort of person -- and that was a damned good thing, because so was Tony. He was generally amused about accidental shenanigans; Steve kissing other people when it was a magical accident or letting someone catch an eye full of something that they normally might not - but if anything that wasn't good natured and accidental were ever to come along, god help whoever got on his bad side. Tony could be jealous just as easily (or, perhaps, more) than the next person.

The kiss to the temple was nice, cute but also just... something that left Tony warm. Kisses from Steve always did that, but the fond casual ones always seemed best, somehow. Like it was just some kind of natural thing that Steve didn't even have to think about. He just did it because he could and because he wanted to. That sort of thing was love, right?

"Speak of what?" Tony asked, jokingly, even as he opened the door to their place, pushing it open and gesturing widely for Steve to enter first like chivalry wasn't dead.

Speak of what, that was good and Steve laughed, shaking his head as he stepped in through the door. It was a relief to be home and Steve took off his shoes to leave them beside the door, letting out a little sigh of relief. Things out there had been- well Tony had made out with Bucky and that was something he couldn't unsee. It wasn't his fault, whatever and all that, but Bucky had always been the attractive one and maybe it tickled that jealous place inside him just so.

Enough that Steve was behind Tony as soon as the door was closed, lips on the back of his neck and one hand on his stomach and the other over the reactor. Steve nipped at his neck, his hand already sliding possessively up under his shirt.

"You know I've never had a Valentine before," Steve said softly. "And now here you are, first and last."

It really hadn't been his fault -- neither of them, Tony or Bucky -- and Tony wouldn't even say it was the worst kiss he'd ever had (because it certainly hadn't been) but magic was magic and there was really only one person Tony wanted to continue kissing, and he was taking his shoes off in the doorway like an absolute old-timey nerd.

"Oh," he said, when Steve nipped at his neck and let his hands go wandering. That was nice. He wasn't sure what he'd expected after a night of wild what the fuck, but maybe it hadn't been this. Then again, that was stupid of it. Of course Steve would want to reaffirm claim. "Well, you know," he said cheerfully, bringing his hand up to card through Steve's hair. "I'm a billionaire, if I'm good at anything, it's monopolizing things."

That was a good 'oh'. Steve liked that he could still surprise him a little, hopefully even when he couldn't Tony would still like it. Maybe for some familiarity bred contempt but Steve who'd never got anything familiar absolutely thrived on it.

He mouthed at Tony's hairline, where the skin tasted a little salty and couldn't help but wonder if he'd got worked up kissing Bucky, if he'd felt that flash of heat. But actually it was better not to think about that and he guided him through the lounge and toward their room. Their young people were still out but Steve still kicked their door closed behind them, glad to be home. "Lucky me," Steve said against his skin.

Steve wasn't rough but he was firm, man handling Tony through the bathroom door as he pulled his lover's shirt over his head.

Familiarity breeding contempt was old hat and more often than not the opposite was true. Familiarity bred fondness. And Tony could attest to that because even if he'd wanted an angry fuck with Steve maybe the second he'd laid eyes on the guy, it'd taken actually getting to know him to want something more than that. No, Tony was positive he wanted to stick around Steve until he knew every little detail about him in full. And he'd love him more then, maybe. If that were possible.

"Very lucky you," said Tony, who had not even been remotely jealous or worked up when Steve had kissed Eddie at that party. But that didn't mean he wasn't smiling over the way Steve kicked the door closed and multitasking the whole way further in.

He tossed his own shirts to the floor and then tugged at the hem of Steve's. "Oh?" He asked, teasing, "was there something on your mind?"

It could have gone either way with them, something physical at the start that might have actually pushed them apart rather than pulled them closer. Or what had happened, more a slow burn. Steve's heart had ached for Tony when he'd lost him, floating and lost for so long and then to see him back and gaunt and in so much pain. All of it, everything they'd come through. It had brought them together. Now that Steve had him? There was no letting him go. Familiarity was his gift and in time he got to learn more and more about him, the more he learned the more he liked him.

More he loved about him. Like how he so effortlessly agreed with Steve's thought that he was lucky, in the most Tony of ways. That smile, those dark eyes, Steve helped pull his own shirt up as he turned on the bathroom light.

The mirror above the sink was big enough to see them both in and Steve instantly found his eyes drawn to the reflection of Tony's. Just looking at him still could take Steve's breath away and he kissed the top of his shoulder, back along to his neck. "You know how I get."

"I know how you get," Tony agreed with a smile that was somehow smug, like he was dead interested in it, in the way Steve got a little jealous and possessive for the silliest reasons. It was cute, really. Because they both knew that Tony was loyal to the last, practically to a fault.

The arc reactor was bright in the dark, and slightly dulled by the light, although still reflected oddly off of the bathroom mirror, but Tony was more focused on Steve, on the reflection of him there. "Reason we're doing this in the bathroom?" He asked, only vaguely curious.

He didn't need a reason, mainly he got jealous and possessive because he had no reason to be, so indulging in those feelings was fun and not at all traumatic. Tony's smug smile just encouraged him really, because he didn't seem to have any objections.

Steve leaned down to kiss the back of his neck, lips dragging down his spine as he unfastened his trousers. "So you can watch," he said when he met his eyes again in the mirror. Steve placed Tony's hands on the sink, leaning him forward a little in the process. "And to give you something to hold onto," he added.

Nope, zero objections. Tony was easy like that -- he knew it was all in good fun rather than a need to actually be weird and controlling about things (which would have been, for the record, very not sexy and very not fun). And Tony? Well. He liked a good time.

And he liked it when things got a little rough. Hell, he was only human.

He gripped the sink and sort of just arched his back so that his ass was up against Steve's front. "Oh," he said, not really in surprise so much as dark, keen, interest. "Well. That's very thoughtful of you."

Steve was not the weird and controlling type. Assertive and opinionated yes, possessive and maybe a touch of jealousy, that too. But part of loving Tony was just letting him be himself and be free. Why would he want to be with him only to try to change him later, it didn't make sense.

He knew what Tony liked and it went along with what he liked so nicely, which showed in moments like these. Steve hummed as Tony pushed back against him and he grasped him firmly by the hips and ground forward. "I've always got your best interests at heart," Steve said as he kissed down the side of his neck.

"Oh?" Tony asked, nonchalant as anything even as he gripped harder at the sink, looked into the mirror in order to make eye contact with Steve's reflection. Practically as good as the real thing, right? He smiled, charming as anything (Tony was, after all, very charming). "What do my best interests entail just this second?"

As if they didn't know. Still, Tony wouldn't have been himself if he didn't get a little bit of witty commentary in there now and again.

Their life here was in a lot of ways more than Steve had ever imagined for himself. How would he be part of the world if he wasn't running or fighting? Here he had no choice, there was nowhere to run and he certainly didn't want to go. Tony was beautiful and Steve liked having the chance to look at him from a new angle, see those dark eyes and the way his hands looked on his hips.

He laughed, soft as he opened the button on his trousers and worked the zip free to get them down. "Just this second? Being taken care of, made to feel good, loved," Steve told him getting his own jeans off so there were no clothes left to get between them. "Just like always."

Tony might argue that he felt similarly about this place -- although there were certainly days where it felt too small for him, too enclosed, too boring -- well. There were things here that he wasn't interested in trading for a bigger, more adventurous space. Anyway, you think he'd be over adventure with everything that'd happened leading up to here. (He wasn't, exactly. Maybe that was just the sort of thing you couldn't take out of someone, no matter what.)

Tony shifted slightly, so that he could lean on the counter top a little more lazily and see a little more of what Steve was showing off back there in the mirror's reflection. He couldn't help but like a nice show, and there was no better view in town, he was pretty sure. "Just like always," he repeated. He wondered, vaguely, if he would always feel a little surprised and blown away when Steve talked like that. He kind of hoped so.

Back in their own world, even if Tony had lived, they never would have stopped. But if they'd been like this he wondered if they'd have carved out something that belonged to just them. Maybe. It was hard to know. All Steve did know was that one more day? It was more than most people would ever get and here they were. To lose Tony now would be more, worse and really just too much to think about. So he focused on the dip of his spine, on what they had here.

Tony echoed his words and Steve looked up from where he'd been enjoying the view, smile softening his face for a moment. Because while once maybe it could have been rough and a little cold, there was too much between them. Steve reached past him into the cabinet, lube tucked behind something on the top shelf because showers were always more fun with two.

Steve lay a hand between his shoulders, pushing down to force him to bend forward and open himself up for him
