WHO: Octavio Silva and Weiss Schnee!
WHAT: She's new, and Octane is less new!
WHERE: Around town!
WHEN: Moments after This!
RATING: W for Welcome to the Jungle!

Octane thought he could be helpful! Really, he probably wasn't, but he was going to give his good ole fashion college try at it! Being in his house, he quickly dressed for the occasion (which was just quite casual with a coat) and then he was out the door in a rush as he usually was. Always on the move this one was. Sprinting through the streets in a rush, the snow made little issue for him.

The trip was easy, it was quick. Just as everything in his life really.

Coming into the town square, he saw the girl quickly but the thing with him and his momentum he couldn't stop quickly. Sure the servos in his legs locked up on the spot, but the slick ground under his feet did nothing for the traction that he needed. Trying to stop was lack luster as he slid past the girl. "HeyhowareyoulookI'llberightback!" He said rapid fire at her as he kept sliding. Once coming to a stop, and he was able to make it to her in a much less quick manner.

"Hello!" Octane spoke. "Octavio Silva! Most call me Octane!" Patting his hands on the shorts that covered the skin part of his legs he offered a hand to the woman. "Welcome to Starklandia, something like a pocket dimension as it was explained. Many of us are here. From all over. Different worlds.. universes.. places... things..." Octane trailed off. "And stuff?" It was a question really. "Okay, look I didn't question it much when I got here. But what I understand is we're all pretty stuck..." Octane scrunched his face a bit. "Sorry I guess..."

Okay, he was really terrible at this. Where was Sirius when he needed that beautiful man.

Weiss was confused first and foremost, annoyed second, worried third. She didn't know where she was or what was going on, but she knew that she didn't like it. The technology was outdated from what she could tell. There was a well, which made her uncomfortable for reasons she didn't want to explain to anyone in that moment. She'd peered down it carefully, Myrtenaster ready to attack if necessary, but nothing happened and the apathy that had swept over her before didn't seem to exist.

After that, she'd let Myrtenaster hang at her side and looked around. It was the strange sight of someone dashing past her that made her still, turning curiously in the direction he'd gone. The confusion was evident on her face for a moment, but she straightened her posture and folded her arms over her chest. It was the perfect Schnee family way to handle strangers. The thought made her drop her arms down to her side in protest.

She stared at him for a long moment before taking his hand. "Weiss Schnee." She looked around, trying to understand the concept of a pocket dimension existing, much less what it meant for her.

The concern grew when he said she'd be stuck there. "But I..." She glared off to the side for a moment, wishing Yang or Ruby or Blake were there. Even Ruby and Yang's weird uncle Qrow. Winter. Somebody. She wanted to say something about how she had to get back to her team, but instead, she held up the unusual contraption that had been on the table. "This...whatever it is...is broken or at least it doesn't function properly."

Weiss. Octane took to mind immediately. Taking her in immediately and any weapons on her it left Octane feeling just a bit naked. Sure the weapons he came here with hadn't been needed since showing up, but it didn't mean he was one to let himself remain unarmed in the time of need. Not important.

When the hand was in his, Octane didn't hesitate to give her hand a firm squeeze as respect was deserved. Her being a woman really meant little to him considering he worked with one of the most deadly women he knew. Wraith and her... emotionless exterior was just creepy at times. "Welcome, Weiss." Octavio decided immediately to utilize her name.

Watching as her face crossed many emotions, Octane could understand those feelings. He didn't feel them when he showed up, but he could understand them. None of them knew what happened back where they came from but knew they were just here in the now. "I get it." He said to her first attempt. "I was amidst combat when I arrived, and I have no idea if my companions made it out." Waving his hand dismissing the rest of it. "But there is little to be done, and you have to believe they were capable enough without you. We're in the now, doing the things we can here." Octane shrugged. "Solo tienes que vivir en el ahora mientras puedas." He immediate switched into another language without thought reaching out taking the phone from her hand.

Tapping away on the device, he sent out a meta post to test it out. Of course he had to be coy in his posting. "Nah, chica." He muttered tapping more away on it. After hitting send he turned the phone showing the message exactly he just sent. "I just take it you're unfamiliar with this ridiculous and outdated technology." Octane laughed softly. "I'll help you out with it. It's pretty easy when you get the hang of it." He offered that boyish grin of his.

Octane reminded her of a mix of Jaune, Nora, and Sun. He dressed in a way Sun probably would have...except a little messier. A lot messier. She didn't say anything, though. It wasn't like she was in a place to do so. Whoever was here wasn't exactly helping and she couldn't find her scroll anywhere.

It was a moment until she noted his legs. She didn't mention how he could have had better ones if he'd been in Atlas. Even if it was true, it probably wasn't now. General Ironwood's call for Martial Law was going to ruin everything they'd started to work towards. He was ruining everything. At least the Ace Operatives were unlikely to do anything to them and Winter had given them a second to escape, but she would come for them once she could. It pained her to know it. She'd always seen her sister as brave and in control of her own life, but now she could see the way the people close to the General were like puppets. He pulled the strings and they moved. No one thought for themselves. Except Penny.

The idea of RWBY having to function without her stung. The idea that they could when they were the only family she felt she had left anymore. Now she didn't have anyone. And she didn't really quite follow anything he'd just said, so she considered that it was either exhaustion or some language she didn't know. "None of us are capable enough for the fight we're in for, but we're in it together anyway."

She stared at the message and sighed. "You're not cute." Maybe a little, but she'd never tell him that. "I'm used to my scroll. We don't really send written messages if we don't have to. How does it work so I can tell them you're a liar?"

There were simple tells that showed how a person felt about things, and really he could tell that Weiss was really not having any of this. Accepting maybe, but not happy. It was fair, and Octane really didn't have any words to tell her that might make the situation any better - because it really wasn't going to get better if you were pulled from something so important.

Sighing softly, he kicked at the snow at his feet. Easily always very knowing how to move about this topic. Fuck it, it was what it was and he didn't know what the world was like back where she was from. His world, or worlds, were all pretty fucked up all the way around.

"Sounds like you have some loyal comrades." Octane muttered. "That's good, and I'm sure they will also be looking for a way to get you back too." Was anyone looking for him? Hard to say. Regardless, the notion of her sigh brought a smile back to his lips. "I am not a liar. I'm am, as the young kids would say, cute af." He laughed closing the distance so she could see the screen and systematically went through the device showing her how it operated. Once he was sure she had a little bit of an understanding, Octavio handed back the device.

"I look forward to you calling me a liar, Weiss." Octane laughed.

“Like family,” she said quietly, taking in a slow breath to steady herself before letting it out. “Better than, really.” But none of that mattered if she was here. They could all die for all she knew and she’d be here in relative safety. Winter...Winter was the only family she’d really miss. Even if she should have cared for Whitley. He didn’t make it easy. “I wouldn’t want them to waste time and resources to find me. They have bigger things to deal with. I’ll find a way back if i can.” As she spoke the last words, she set her shoulders. If not? She’d just have to be to the people here what she’d trained to be there. A Schnee never gave up. Or at least she didn’t.

“What does cute af even mean?” But she watched as he went through the machine, studying the way he made the letters show up and trying to keep herself from overthinking too much. “You can look forward to it right now,” she said as she typed a message back to the only person on the post.

Family. Something that Octane had but didn't have. Being the heir to a giant pharmacutical company left him desiring other things. Sure being rich and powerful was all good if you liked that sort of things - but what was it with out the rush of doing something dangerous and possibly insane. Now that was something he could get behind. "Well, when the time comes - I'm sure everything will land as it should." At least that was all you could hope for.

Octane laughed at her question while showing the device. "Cute as fuck." Glancing, Octane smirked. "It's true. I've been told many times. By people. All sorts of people." He hadn't, but watching Weiss take over the device to defend against his outlandish claims was fun. Like watching a fawn start walking for the first time.

"Now. Since you're stuck here, some things to know." Pointing, he explained where the bar was, COFFEE the local and only coffee shop, and Van Dyne's which he explained that Gwen had all sorts of clothes there to help expand on Weiss' wardrobe. "There are a few people around who help get things that might be needed," He paused and pointed up towards a house on the edge. "That house has doors that lead to different dimensions. Sometimes helpful, sometimes not - but most resources come from there. Generally the whole town teams up and tries to help each other out." Putting his hands on his hips he smirked. "Real community effort and stuff."

Weiss didn’t want to linger on the possibility that it wouldn’t so she mentally shook off the notion and moved onto the next thing. When he explained it, she rolled her eyes, settling into the tell-tale Schnee side eye. “The kids have been lying to you.” This was much like her friendship with Jaune started out. Except he was just trying to get her to like him...which was never gonna happen the way he’d wanted it to then. He was much more likable now that he’d stopped.

She listened as he explained where things were, glancing down at the clothing she was wearing. She wanted to say this was new, but she didn’t. “Get things that might be needed?” Because that sounded sketchy. She hoped not, but she guessed there was only one way to know for sure. She mentally kept the house in her mind so she’d remember it. They were doing better here than Atlas had done with Mantle. “Do they have barracks or something? I’ve shared a room with my Team since we started at Beacon. I guess I could deal if there wasn’t.” Being on the run wouldn’t help them.

“And is there anything else I need to know?”

Octane audibly gasped at her. "How.. how dare you!" He feigned as if her words shocked her. "You call little baby goats liars. The gull." He sighed. "They are..." He side eyed her in return. "Baaaaaaaaaad." He promptly extended that A as if he were a goat just to really drive home he was honestly hilarious. Okay, half funny at least.

"Yes. This place has some resources, but not all of it is renewable. Bill manages a garden so we have that, but furniture and such comes from through the doors." Octane explained. "My favorite Klaus runs through the doors getting supplies you might want but you're free to do the same for yourself." He shrugged. "I once ended up in a space station space mall. It was cool." He explained casually.

"Barracks, no, but you can pick your own house. If it's empty, you can take it." Octane explained. Pointing off in the distance he gestured. "My house is over that way." He shrugged again.

“No, cause at least the baby goats are actually cute.” She rolled her eyes again, the hint of a smile forming on her lips. He was definitely like being around Yang in this moment. The jokes were just as bad. She was going to miss Yang. “Has anyone told you that you need to work on your jokes?” She looked around herself, considering that it might be time to get coffee. Blake would want tea.

“Are there multiple Klauses for you to befriend?” Because she was going to need to figure out the differences if there were. She would have to figure out how to get around in the strange places. Space sounded unusual. They didn’t travel in space. She wasn’t even sure what that would be like.

Her gaze shifted to look at the places that were in the distance. A house. It sounded lonely. She frowned slightly. That had been her life up till Beacon and she didn’t relish the idea of going back. “I guess I’ll see what I can find. Maybe if the others show up, I can at least have a place.”

Octane's mouth fell agape. "Lady Weiss, was that a joke?" Octane smirked wide seeing that smirk of hers, and immediately knew he was at least accepted in some degree. "My jokes are just as cute as me. It's the truth, and," He tugged at his coat and did a little spin. "I got the moves too." He chuckled.

Laughing, he shook his head. "No, there is only one of those beautiful men in this world." And truly, if there were more it would be dangerous. Klaus was one of a kind, and should remain that way. "I'll be sure to introduce you. He's a mighty good friend to have." He said with a nod as if it were fact that couldn't be debunked.

"Well, people suddenly appear at any moment." He pointed to her. "Like you. I was having a nice and quiet night before you showed up. You made it much more exciting." Taking a few steps in a direction. "C'mon. I'll show you around. It wont take long at all." A coy smile slipped across his lips. "I'm quick. Doubt you could keep up." He teased.

“Not a Lady. Just Weiss.” And she preferred it in a way. Weiss Schnee was an unknown here. Schnees were unknown. “You’re jokes are also mediocre at best.” He was definitely on the same level as Jaune. But the Jaune from before the fall of Beacon. “Uh huh. Moves.”

Klaus was just one person. She idly wondered if he had feelings for this Klaus guy or if this was just who he was: constantly flirting with people. “If he’s anything like you, II’m not sure I can take your word for it.” But she’d give whoever he was a chance. What choice did she have here?

“Please. If you were Ruby, maybe not, but I can move fairly quick on my own.” Winter would certainly have something to say about making a game out of her glyphs, but she wasn’t here. Weiss wasn’t sure she was going to do it anyway, but if that was the way, she would do it. She’d come a long way from her days at Beacon.
