Bill closed his eyes for a moment, breathing out slowly as their heads rested together. At least the fear had gone, Dan seemed well mixed up sure but not outright panicking anymore. "You don't have to thank me for doing the minimum required not to be an arse," Bill said with a little smile.
He pulled back then, to get Dan's knee out from between his legs and then smoothed his shirt back into place so it didn't look like Bill's hand had just been up there. Bill retrieved the rose he'd given him earlier and handed it back to him no worse for wear having been tossed aside for a heated moment. "Maybe if you press it between some pages it might keep," Bill suggested.
