That arch, the line of his body as it curled toward him, somehow both wanting and unsure only served to draw Bill in. He wanted to soothe some of that loneliness that almost seemed a physical weight on his shoulders, an emptiness that might ease a little with some warmth. It wasn’t like being wanted could fill a void, but it could light a fire in you which was better than another cold evening alone.
He tightened his hold on Dan’s back and pulled him up against him, his fingers smoothing into his hair and holding him close. So much about Bill’s life had left him invisible, trying to prove his worth when he’d be judged by name or on first sight. Being wanted, making someone feel good, that gave him purpose here.
Even if lots of Dan was closed, his mouth was not and Bill kissed him knowing full well it might just be one kiss, one arch and he wanted to make the most of it.
