For someone who liked people, liked a party, liked to enjoy himself, he also really liked his own company. A quiet night in with a book and several cups of tea, working on something, mastering a new kind of magic or solving a problem. Bill wasn't a true extrovert, he needed time alone to regain his energy.
It was equal parts amusing and sad to see Dan so surprised at the idea someone might want to kiss him. Bill certainly knew plenty of people wanted to kiss him, he was young and good looking and generally an okay guy. But Dan seemed lacking in much self esteem, or just unaware of his own appeal.
The cigarette left an arc of sparks through the air as he flicked it, before he stepped closer. Dan was shorter than him and he tucked his fingers gently under his jaw to tilt his head back a little. "Because you're interesting and I like interesting," Bill said simply. "Can I?" He asked as he glanced down at Dan's lips then back up to his eyes. Because as much as he might kiss someone without their permission when he couldn't help it, when he could he wanted to know it was welcome first.
