Beverly didn't really know what was going on - but she wasn't connected to Klaus anymore by an invisible line that sent a current of electricity up under her skin whenever they got too far apart, so she was trying to ease back into her routine. That included waking up alone (which - well, maybe that wasn't so great, yet there was nothing for it these days), taking Billie for a walk, going for coffee, drinking it on the way to Van Dyne's and then holing up to work with the very best in fabric, all until her fingers bled and her calluses had calluses.
On this part of the routine, she didn't anticipate running into a guy in the center of town who had clearly turned on the waterworks. And what was he saying? Besides the screaming for KITTY, which she definitely didn't understand?
"Hey," she greeted, stepping closer cautiously, clutching her to-go cup of hot coffee. This town was so weird - she hadn't needed to toss said cup of hot coffee in anyone's face yet, but she'd see how it went. "Are you - what happened?"
