WHO: Harry Osborn and Diego Hargreeves WHAT: Tether buddies!! WHERE: Harry's place WHEN: First day of the plot
Harry would be the first to admit (with a little prodding and a few knowing looks from his Peter) that he wasn't always the most observant person. Occasionally, it was just a case of him being in deep denial of things that were, usually, right in front of him. He'd known there was something off about his father and the way that the man treated him or talked to him but he played stupid. He'd given Norman the benefit of the doubt because that was what you did with family, especially when that family was all you had. Other times, however, he wound up to wrapped up in something else to notice what was going on.
Harry had woken up that morning in his own bed. He'd yawned. He'd stretched and he'd started his day. Nothing had seemed off. Nothing was wrong. He'd even had enough time to head downstairs to tinker with his glider a little. He was still dressed in the clothing he'd slept in and was actually pretty thrilled about that. He was finding little things about being free of his father thrilling. Not having an image to uphold or various expectations governing how he dressed or acted was pretty great. He didn't really like being on his own but it wasn't killing him and there were remedies for that. There were Peters and Gwen and Galen. There was even Steve with the impressive hair. He could try talking to any of them. He had excuses to reach out. He currently had more video games than he knew what to do with.
He was thinking about the Peter closest to his age. He was wondering if he should reach out to him and see if he wanted to take a stab at getting to know each other. He hadn't heard anything that might have alerted him to someone else's presence in his house. He definitely wasn't expecting to turn around a little too quickly and run into someone. He let out a startled yelp as he jumped back. "Who? How?" He sputtered out, confused and started and maybe scared. "What are you doing in here?" How long had he been there? It couldn't have been too long, right? Harry wasn't sure. He hadn't noticed anyone else in the house but, then again, he wasn't always that observant.
