There was a vulnerability about younger Tony that reminded of the glimpses he'd seen of the same in his own Tony. Something small and unsure and it was endlessly charming to Steve, to see that something real that most people missed. They were both people who hid themselves away and Steve liked the little pieces of Tony he'd discovered over the years, the more time they spent together, the more he liked him.
Steve grinned, lifting his shoulders some. "Guess you'll have to think about it for a while," he simply said. Maybe it wasn't fair, he didn't actually know the other version of himself, but it was a reasonably educated guess. Not to mention Tony's face said a lot.
"Come on, I'm going to put together something for dinner, you can help," Steve said as he nodded toward the square. He didn't cook meals there every day but he liked to try to keep it regular, keep good smells flowing through people's windows and make newcomers feel welcome.
