Standing there staring was probably the wrong thing to do in a situation like this. Tony felt fairly certain of that much. There was an expectation of modesty here, that he had absolutely blown right past and didn't seem to know how to get himself turned back around and in the direction he ought to be headed in. So he just stood there staring like that was the way things were done.
"Right, right yeah, right of course." He didn't mean to look, not really - this thing just kept happening to him for some reason and Tony didn't know how to stop it or how to extricate himself without some help, and well - it looked like he was doing this on his own this time. So it was only a matter of time before Steve realized that he'd have to actually tell him to go away - and that was just going to be the complete worst.
"Not too much, I've uh - gone through most of my spare pants - I mean" shit, "spare parts, so I was out hoping maybe I'd find another couple of phones I could take apart and use for something I'm working on." The words sounded okay mostly minus one truly terrible mix up that left him wishing the earth would just open him up and spare him this.
